I've been working to find local art classes and venues in the Baltimore/DC area for a little over a month now. Upon a suggestion from a co-worker, I started checking out the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Old Town Alexandria in Northern Virginia. WOW! I didn't find much on art classes for the autumn session, but I did find out that there dozens of artists actively working in studios they have set up there. I practically had an orgasm over the experience. I've never seen so many artists making sculpture, or paintings or drawings in my life. As far as fine art photography on display, I think James and Kathryn Steele's studios were the best. Check them out!
